Connect Long Island Receives National Association of Workforce Boards Award.

The National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB)
recently presented its 2011 W.O. Lawton Business Leadership Award to the Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT), based upon a nomination submitted by the Town of Hempstead Workforce Investment Board (WIB).

The award, which recognizes the accomplishments of the Connect Long Island Partnership, was recently presented at the NAWB National Conference to William Wahlig, Executive Director, LIFT, and Ana-Maria Hurtado, Commissioner/WIB Director, Town of Hempstead Department of Occupational Resources (DOOR).
