The Train & Earn EMT Certification Program is a seven-week, on-the-job, paid training course designed for eligible veterans and service members to receive didactic and experiential learning as an Emergency Medical Technician, where you can earn $20.00 per hour/40 hours per week for the full seven weeks.

*Note: Applicants must meet criteria below to be eligible for the Train & Earn EMT Certification Program for Veterans and Service Members.
Eligibility Requirement and Program Commitments:
Our program is a paid, seven-week training program for veterans and service members who:

Have earned a state-endorsed high school diploma or HSE/TASC (formerly GED certificate).

Have a driver's license valid in New York State (without violations or points).

Provide an employment commitment to work as an EMT at Northwell for at least one year, upon successful completion of the program and EMT certification.
*Applicants who register by Sunday, January 28, will be able to attend a virtual information session on Monday, January 29, from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
