EMT Training Program for Vets
Receive a full scholarship to earn an EMT Certification through our on-the-job, paid training program.

The Train & Earn EMT Certification Program is a seven-week, on-the-job, paid training course designed for eligible veterans and service members to receive didactic and experiential learning as an Emergency Medical Technician, where you can earn $20.00 per hour/40 hours per week for the full seven weeks.

Program Start Date: Monday, April 1, 2024

*Note: Applicants must meet criteria below to be eligible for the Train & Earn EMT Certification Program for Veterans and Service Members.

Eligibility
Eligibility Requirement and Program Commitments:

Our program is a paid, seven-week training program for veterans and service members who:

  • Have earned a state-endorsed high school diploma or HSE/TASC (formerly GED certificate).

  • Have a driver's license valid in New York State (without violations or points).

  • Provide an employment commitment to work as an EMT at Northwell for at least one year, upon successful completion of the program and EMT certification.

*Applicants who register by Sunday, January 28, will be able to attend a virtual information session on Monday, January 29, from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
